People often ask, “what made you start a career in beauty”? This question takes me back to where I am originally from. My name is Shirin, this translates to “Sweet” in Farsi. It’s also the name of a famous Persian Princess from the 18th Century who had a tragic love story written in the old poetries of Iran— similar to that of Romeo & Juliet.

Growing up in a place where women and skin care were synonymous, I was surrounded by women who were always sharing their ancient beauty secrets to pamper one another.

I remember admiring my grandma’s soft, velvety, flawless skin. I always felt fascinated watching her make homemade beauty serums from glycerin and lemon juice, a facial toner derived from the rose water of a fresh bouquet of farmers market roses, and a facial mask made from organic yoghurt, honey & saffron. She was always using natures gifts to firm, brighten and rejuvenate her skin.

As a young child, every week my mom would take me and my siblings to a Turkish Hammam to get exfoliated and scrubbed from head to toe using natural & herbal ingredients. I’d always leave with my hair shining and my skin feeling as soft as velvet.

It’s safe to say I’d grown up inheriting cultural beauty practices and these aspects of my childhood felt greatly missed when I left my country of origin.

Because of my upbringing, a large part of me felt deeply rooted to beauty and skincare. So when I started my career in the this huge industry, it felt like I was reigniting with a part of my childhood. Learning from some of the best in the field allowed me to not only take care of my own skincare needs, but more importantly, to help others feel amazing in their skin too.

I’ve been fortunate enough to treat so many wonderful clients who’ve trusted me with their beauty needs for years to count. I am passionate and committed to helping others look and feel their best possible, using nothing less of the most professional care and the highest hygienic standards.
